The lakes has great food and great service! It's a very nice restaurant with a nice atmosphere.

Hosted a party of 15 people here tonight. Had an excellent experience, Everyone enjoyed their dinner, The two servers ewere ellecnet, food was delicious. We will be back.

I think that this was my first time at the Lakes. I wanted a steak and decided upon the New York Strip. The Strip is not my favorite cut but it was awesome. Cooked to perfection, nicely seasoned, with fingerling potatoes and asparagus. The side wedge salad was good -- not sure why it was deconstructed and the bacon was not diced -- but it was a fine salad. Service was excellent and efficient. I will frequent this place. Highly recommended.

Lakes fills a void in a town starving for dining experiences and options, it's like a local pub with a better than average menu with assorted specials. Willing to serve with a substantial bar of regulars. Clean, good service, no ambiance or entertainment It's a good dinner spot with a liquor license.

Had a great meal at the Lakes tonight. Wife had a giant Michigan Salad and the Chicken Wrap Sandwich and I stuck with Fish & Chips. Service from Vicky was outstanding. Excellent wine selection. Get there early or there will be a line out the door. Plenty of parking but traffic on Union Lake Road can be daunting.

I have been coming to this restaurant for many years now and have always been impressed with the consistency of how good their food is. The food is always well made with good taste where we have never been disappointed. On this particular night, I ordered the lakes burger with bacon and Swiss cheese and a side of regular fries while my wife ordered the house made turkey burger with sweet potato fries. Both burgers were well made with excellent taste where the bacon was a premium cut of thick bacon which is big deal to me and really puts this burger over the top. Both fries were tasty and crunchy and were an excellent complement to the burgers. Overall one of the better burgers I have eaten in the greater West Bloomfield area. Relative to the setting, the restaurant is clean and bright with a nice modern decor and a very casual/comfortable feel to the business. The wine cellar along the back wall and the fireplace centrally located in the restaurant add quite a bit the to visual appeal of this business and definately make the dining experience that much more satisfying. Also of note, there are numerous TV's that are scattered about the restaurant with good site lines for every table allowing you to watch numerous real time sporting events, at the same time, which is a definite plus if you are into the local sports teams or the game of the week. Relative to service, it is always spot on and friendly with great follow up during the meals. Overall one of the better sit down restaurants in the area and one that should not be missed if you are in the area, especially if you want to watch the game with your meal.
